Meet The Crew

Hi, we are Danielle & Tommy!

We have been traveling full-time for six years with our two dogs, Missy and Trip. Our RV travels have taken us to almost all of the lower 48 states in the United States, all over Canada, all the way north up to Alaska and we even spent two months camping up and down Mexico’s Baja Peninsula. We spent the first three years on the road traveling in our 1992 Toyota RV and now we are exploring in our 1973 Airstream!

We lived in Wilmington, North Carolina for five years, and started to feel ourselves outgrowing our little beach town. After returning from a short vacation to Colorado we decided our next adventure would be to move out west. We moved to Denver, Colorado and explored around the state for about two years. During our time in Colorado, a family friend passed along their old Ford van to us. We primarily used the van for work events at local markets, but it quickly doubled as our weekend camping vehicle. We started exploring Colorado and Utah on our days off, and started dreaming of staying on the road for longer stints of time…

“Never let your fears be the boundaries of your dreams.”

So there we were in Moab, Utah, camping down by the [Colorado] river in our old van, and the casual conversation of doing this “for real” came up. We both loved the idea of trying something new, challenging, and completely wild. We didn’t personally know a single person that was traveling in a van or RV full-time. How would it possibly work with the two of us, and our dogs, AND our longboard skateboard business? What would our families think? What if we failed?

I wish I could remember in-depth how we rationalized all of these concerns and fears, because there were definitely concerns and fears! Ultimately, we just kept talking about all of the possibilities. We try not to play the “what-if” game, and instead ask ourselves

“Why not?!”

“Don’t be afraid to fail. Be afraid not to try.”

These last six years have flown by. We’ve learned so much from our time on the road, and have both grown so much from this entire experience. From learning how to DIY two RV renovations, to learning how to creating multiple streams of income to sustain our lifestyle. It’s not always easy or beautiful, but life was meant to be an adventure!
